Lake Anna, Mineral, VA

This rustic lakefront retreat on Lake Anna was custom-built, with our founder and principal designer, Iram, playing an instrumental role from day one. Originally built as a 7,000 sq. ft. Airbnb and holiday home, it was later transformed into a forever home that balances functionality, durability, and warmth.
The home embraces waterfront living with a rustic farmhouse feel, incorporating family heirlooms, antiques, and custom elements like the breakfast chandelier and dining table. Designed for everyone—from seniors to children—it features seven bathrooms, a bunk room, a kids’ play loft, a basement rec room for adults, and a wrap-around porch, all carefully planned to maximize comfort and enjoyment.
Every inch of the home was designed with intention, using repurposed materials from trees cleared on the property to create character-rich, purposeful spaces. The final result is a functional yet charming retreat where family, friends, and guests can gather, relax, and enjoy the stunning lakefront views in a warm, inviting environment.

Designers often must walk that fine line between two clients and Iram did a good job of that. She had to design on a budget and still managed to bypass all of our expectations.
